Materials List


Finished Explosion Box = 4″ squared


  • 12×12 Heavy Cardstock (minimum weight = 65lbs.) in a solid color for the box bases
  •  12″ (or longer) Ruler – (I use a Tim Holtz ruler to have the measuring lines on both sides and it’s see-through) 
  • Decorative, lighter weight scrapbook paper or your own handmade papers:                                                              
  • Such as cardstock scraps to cover with stained paper towels or paint chips covered in alcohol inks               
  • Elmer’s Glue-All glue in a micro tipped bottle (any good PVA glue will work)
  • Pencil
  • Scissors or Craft Knife
  • Bone Folder, Popsicle Stick or old credit card
  • Large Scoreboard (optional) – You can also use a ruler & stylus (ball end) or scoring blade on a paper cutter
  • Paper or Platform Cutter (optional) – Scissors work just fine
  • Circle Punch for thumb tabs (optional)
  • Die Cuts to decorate the box lid (optional)
